Just like with the 7th Generation of the EZONE racket family, Yonex has designed a new color scheme for the VCORE 7th Gen tennis rackets: the Yonex VCORE 7th Gen Sand Beige. Find out what makes the VCORE racket family so unique and which different models have been released.
Technologies
To ensure that the racket family made for ultimate spin actually lives up to its promise, the Japanese brand has incorporated several technologies into the seventh generation of VCORE tennis rackets. Each of these refined details makes an individual contribution to the spin performance. Below we discuss all of the integrated technologies and their added values.
Silicone Oil Infused Grommet
Silicone oil was used in the production of the grommets, which leads to reduced friction between the string and tubing by up to 26.3%. In practice, this means that the strings move with ease and snap back to their original position. This improved snapback of the strings ensures that the ball gets extra rotation and thus contributes to the fulfillment of the promise of the Yonex VCORE.
Enlarged Frame Top
Compared to previous generations of the spin-oriented racket family of Yonex, the 7th Gen VCORE rackets have a wider contact surface at the 10 and 2 o'clock positions. An additional advantage of this fact is that the ball bounces higher off your blade, giving the ball extra time to rotate in the air. In addition, it makes it easier for the player to achieve a deeper ball trajectory.
New Throat Design
The T- and H-shaped parts of the heart provide an improved torsional stability of 3.4%. The additional stability results in reduced power loss.
2G-Namd™ Flex Force
This special graphite has extra elastic properties compared to many other types. Due to the flexibility, the frame bends with impact. The force that comes with the frame moving back to its original position contributes to the amount of spin and power with which the ball comes off the frame.
Aerodynamic Technology
In order to optimize the spin potential of the Yonex VCORE tennis rackets, it is important that the swing speed of the frames is as high as possible. With this as a goal, the Aero Trench and Aero Fin have been designed. The trench is located at the top of the frame. This ensures that the grommets do not protrude from the frame and therefore do not experience air resistance during the execution of strokes. The fins are located both at the top and bottom of the frame. These specially designed fins improve the aerodynamics of VCORE frames and therefore contribute to the potential swing speed.
ISOMETRIC™
Like the rest of Yonex's tennis racket collection, the VCORE 7th Gen rackets also have a so-called ISOMETRIC™ racket head. Compared to a round blade of the same size, in square inches, ISOMETRIC™ racket blades have a larger sweet spot of approximately 7%. As a result, tennis rackets with this technology are generally more forgiving in terms of hitting area, compared to rackets without this special shape.
Available Models
The Yonex VCORE racket family consists of several models, with different specifications. These individual models are offered with the aim of connecting with tennis players of different levels and ages. The following variants are offered in the Benelux:
Yonex VCORE 98
This is the most control-oriented version available in the Benelux. With a weight of 305 grams, a head size of 98 sq in and a slightly narrower tube construction of 23-23-21 mm, the VCORE 98 combines the properties of spin and power discussed above, with extra feel and control. This makes this variant especially suitable for the advanced tennis player.
Yonex VCORE 100
The VCORE 100 has a frame of 25.3-25.3-22 mm, a 100 sq in racket head and a weight of 300 grams. Compared to the VCORE 98, this variant offers easier access to power. This, in combination with the above-mentioned technologies, ensures a racket focused on optimizing spin and power. These properties make the VCORE 100 slightly more accessible for (slightly) advanced tennis players.
Yonex VCORE 100L
To offer an even more accessible option, Yonex has released the VCORE 100L at 280 grams. With the integrated technologies and the 25.3/25.3/22 mm tube, it offers the combination of spin and power. The relatively low weight of 280 contributes to the ease with which the racket swings through the air, making it a suitable variant for beginners to slightly advanced tennis players.
At the same time as the introduction of the Yonex VCORE Sand Beige rackets, the Japanese brand has also launched matching tennis bags on the market. The bags that, like the rackets, have also been given the Sand Beige color scheme are the Pro 9 Racket Tennis Bag, the Pro 6 Racket Tennis Bag and the Pro Tennis Backpack. These Pro bags are the highest quality tennis bags from Yonex.
