Where Yonex released a new color of the EZONE racket family last year, the Japanese brand is now taking it a step further by launching the new and improved version of its power-oriented racket family. The year 2025 marks the eighth generation of Yonex EZONE tennis rackets.
When developing the EZONE Blast Blue, Yonex naturally took into account the great diversity of playing levels within the target group of this racket family. The characteristic nickname - The Easy One - suggests that the rackets are very easy to handle and are therefore perhaps mainly aimed at recreational tennis players. This group is certainly well represented among the users of the Yonex EZONE family, but the EZONE is also gaining popularity among players active at higher levels, even up to the absolute world top.
Technologies
The 8th generation EZONE embodies the joy of the game through innovative technology, featuring an expanded sweet spot and unmatched power.
ISOMETRIC™
All current Yonex tennis rackets have this technology. ISOMETRIC™ refers to the shape of the racket head. This signature Yonex shape contributes to a larger sweet spot. Compared to (most) other rackets with the same head size, Yonex rackets have a sweet spot that is about 7% larger. This makes the rackets more forgiving and therefore makes it easier to hit the ball in the right place on the head.
ENERGIZING ISOMETRIC™
In the new Yonex EZONE Blast Blue, the usual ISOMETRIC™ technology has been expanded to further enlarge the sweet spot and offer a better feel. These innovations are expressed in the form of the following three elements:

Expanded frame top
The top of the frame has been expanded a fraction. This makes the hitting surface and the sweet spot feel even more spacious during play. This makes the racket feel more consistent and gives the user extra confidence to hit the ball well with every stroke.
Widened beam width at the top
Also at the top of the racket head, the thickness of the frame has been increased slightly compared to the 7th Gen EZONE rackets. This increase contributes to the ease with which the new EZONE Blast Blue generates power.
Extended tapered inner frame
The inside of the racket head has a tapered shape that is a fraction longer than the previous generation. This ensures improved flexibility and a softer feel during play, without sacrificing the power that the racket delivers.
MINOLON
The top of the frame has been expanded a fraction. This makes the hitting surface and the sweet spot feel even more spacious during play. This makes the racket feel more consistent and gives the user extra confidence to hit the ball well with every stroke.
VIBRATION DAMPENING MESH (VDM)
Like the aforementioned Minolon technology, Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) also contributes to the reduction of vibrations due to ball impact. In this case, the VDM material is placed between the layers of graphite in the handle for extra comfort.
2G-NAMD™ SPEED
The special graphite used in this frame, in combination with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is intended to optimize the energy transfer from the racket to the ball. As much power as possible is given to the strokes, without losing any comfort or feeling.
Lineup
In order to provide an extended target group with the benefits that the latest Yonex EZONE rackets bring, the lineup consists of a number of models that differ from each other in terms of specifications such as weight, frame thickness, head size and balance point.
Senior Rackets
Yonex EZONE 98 Blast Blue
This is the model that focuses most on adding control, feel and precision within this power-oriented racket family. Due to the slightly smaller racket head of 98 sq in and the thinner frame construction than the other EZONE Blast Blue tennis rackets, in combination with the weight of 305 grams, the Yonex EZONE 98 Blast Blue offers an ideal mix of flexibility and stability that provides its users with that extra bit of control, combined with the exceptional power that we can expect from this racket series. This model is therefore usually the favorite EZONE option of experienced tennis players who are looking for a fraction more precision and control.
Yonex EZONE 100 Blast Blue
The Yonex EZONE 100 Blast Blue is the model with the most popular specifications within the tennis market. With its weight of 300 grams, 32 cm balance point, 100 sq in racket head and 16x19 string pattern, this is an extremely suitable power-oriented racket for many. As long as you can handle the weight of 300 grams and continue to make your strokes in the right way, this racket will help you to add extra power to your game, without this being at the expense of comfort and feeling.
Yonex EZONE 100L Blast Blue
This variant within the EZONE family is a slightly lighter option. With its weight of 285 grams, the 100L Blast Blue is relatively easy to handle for (beginner to) slightly experienced tennis players. This, in combination with the technologies implemented in the Yonex EZONE Blast Blue frames, makes this model a top choice for players who are looking for a powerful racket with which you as a user can focus on developing the right techniques during play.
Yonex EZONE 100SL Blast Blue
This is one of the lighter options within the Yonex EZONE Blast Blue tennis rackets. The 100SL weighs 270 grams and is, due to its 100 sq in blade size and 16x19 string pattern, a suitable option for experienced, serious junior players who are making the transition to senior tennis rackets. This is also a suitable model for tennis players who are looking for an extra easy-to-handle racket that focuses on adding power to their strokes, without having to compromise on comfort and feel.
Junior Rackets
Yonex EZONE 26 Blast Blue Junior
This is the model for junior tennis players of approximately 140 to 150 cm tall. The material is of comparable quality to the senior tennis rackets within the EZONE Blast Blue racket family. This makes the Yonex EZONE 26 Blast Blue Junior suitable for junior players, from recreational to competitive level.
Yonex EZONE 25 Blast Blue Junior
This is the model for junior tennis players of approximately 130 to 140 cm tall. The material is of comparable quality to the senior tennis rackets within the EZONE Blast Blue racket family. This makes the Yonex EZONE 25 Blast Blue Junior suitable for junior players, from recreational to competitive level.
