Racket Type
In addition to determining which racket group suits you, the racket type has a significant impact on the playing characteristics of a tennis racket. The type is determined by the shape of the frame:
Control
The frame has an angular, often narrow tube construction. This makes the racket more flexible and increases dwell time, resulting in more feel and control.
Power
The frame has a rounded, often wider tube construction. This makes the racket stiffer and reduces dwell time, resulting in more power.
Allround
The frame lacks a distinctive tube construction. This allows the racket to deliver a combination of power and control.
Spin
The frame has an aerodynamic tube construction. This allows the racket to swing through the air more quickly, resulting in more spin.
Comfort
The frame has an extra-wide tube construction and a larger racket head. This provides the racket with additional playing comfort.
