The tennis specialty store

In the early 1980s, René de Jong founded Sportline. Now one could also go to Rotterdam-Zuid for football, hockey and tennis equipment. Like almost every football player, René had a weakness for tennis and decided in the nineties to limit Sportline to just tennis. Soon the specialty shop becomes a trademark for tennis in South Holland. This eventually led to a name change and laid the foundation for what is now known as Tennis Only. A refurbished Tennis Only was reopened by Raemon Sluiter in 2008 by hitting an enormous tennis ball with a gigantic racket.

Worldwide Exposure

But soon the tennis shop in Pendrecht was bursting at the seams and we moved to Jacques Dutilhweg 325 in the Rotterdam district of Prinsenland. With a floor area of a 1000 square meters, Tennis Only is the largest tennis shop of its kind. The spectacular reopening with top player Grigor Dimitrov is still recalled by many and has put our store on the map. Tennis Only has been promoting tennis talent in the Netherlands for years from sponsorship to accompaniment. Despite the huge popularity of tennis, it is lacking youth events in the Netherlands famous tournaments aside.
