In reality, two or more tennis rackets of the same model having exactly identical specifications is not always the case. Fortunately, minimal differences between rackets may not be immediately noticeable for many players. However, if the differences are more significant, they can indeed be felt during gameplay. Additionally, you might want to modify or enhance certain characteristics of your racket(s). For both equalising racket specifications and adjusting their features, we offer the Tennis Only Tuning Service.
What Do We Offer
Matching
Matching rackets involves precisely aligning 2 or more rackets in terms of specifications. We meticulously measure the rackets according to ERSA and GRSA standards. After identifying the differences, we consult with the player to determine the new specifications for the rackets.
When?
You feel a clear difference between the rackets while playing, often occurring when a string breaks and you need to continue with the second racket. This can happen upon ball impact or during your swing.
Customizing
Customizing (a) racket(s) involves adjusting its/their specifications to fit the specific preferences of the player. This includes modifying the total weight, balance, and/or swing weight. It can be achieved through various methods, such as adding lead tape and/or silicone.
When?
If you feel the racket twisting in your hand upon ball impact, we will firstly check if the grip size is correct. If it is, then the stability of the racket could be adjusted. If you would like to add something extra to the racket, such as adding weight or adjusting the balance.
How long does it take?
After finalizing the specifications, players can often pick up the rackets within 48 hours. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the situation. Therefore, the exact duration is always determined in consultation.
Cost
The costs for matching and/or customizing are € 35,- per racket, excluding additional materials such as a new replacement grip or string.
