At Tecnifibre, it all started with strings. The French brand made its name as a string specialist from 1979 onward and has since grown into a racket brand you see more and more on the tours, with players including Daniil Medvedev, Iga Swiatek, and Dutch player Tallon Griekspoor. Below, we explain which Tecnifibre racket series are available and what each one could mean for your game.

T-Fight, Fire, or Tempo: Tecnifibre’s Racket Series Explained

The Tecnifibre T-Fight is the brand’s flagship and is all about the balance between power and control. The frame combines a square and a round profile, bringing stability and a lively response together. On top of that, the stiffness is distributed along the length of the frame so the string bed responds evenly everywhere, making your shots predictable and precise. That versatility explains why players with styles as different as Medvedev, Swiatek, and Griekspoor choose the T-Fight.

The Tecnifibre Fire is Tecnifibre’s successor to the TF-X1 series, and is built entirely around power, spin, and comfort. The frame is easy to accelerate, so you can hit heavy, aggressive balls with a fast swing. According to Tecnifibre, special dampening in the frame absorbs vibrations especially effectively, so the racket feels pleasant despite its fiery character. That makes the Fire an appealing choice if you like to take the initiative in rallies and could use a little extra help doing so.

The Tecnifibre Tempo was developed by Tecnifibre specifically for women. The rackets are light and maneuverable, with a slightly larger 102 sq in head that gives you a generous sweet spot and easy access to power and spin. A standout feature is the length of the Tempo Team: 1 cm shorter than a standard racket, so you can accelerate it even faster. That makes the Tempo a great choice for competitive and club players who want a light racket without sacrificing stability and plow-through.

Which Tecnifibre Racket Is Right for Me?

With the T-Fight and the Fire, it’s simple: the number in the model name is the weight in grams. A T-Fight 300 weighs 300 grams, and a Fire 285 weighs 285 grams. That way, you can see right away which racket group a racket falls into. The heaviest versions, at 305 grams and up, offer the most stability and, in the T-Fight, a smaller head for extra precision, ideal for advanced and competitive players. The 300 versions with a 100 sq in head are a good starting point for many intermediate to advanced players. The versions at 285 grams and lighter become increasingly maneuverable, making it easier to build racket head speed and play with more ease. The Tempo comes in two versions: the Tour at 285 grams for a bit more stability and plow-through, and the lighter Team at 270 grams for extra maneuverability.
