Racket Stringer

Learn the craft of racket stringing at Tennis Only

At Tennis Only, we string rackets every day for beginners, dedicated competitive players and professionals. We do this according to strict quality standards. Many stringers have never really been trained in the craft, but with us you will receive proper training. Already know how to string? Great, that gives you a small head start. If not, we will teach you step by step.

What will you be doing?

Just like us, you will work in the store at our stringing station, learning to string on our electronic HEAD stringing machines. We will teach you how to handle a racket with care and distribute the tension evenly across the frame. You will also learn to straighten the strings properly before the racket leaves the machine, and to tie the knots in a way that keeps tension loss to a minimum. Every racket that leaves our store has to meet strict quality standards, so that Tennis Only customers can enjoy their fresh strings for as long as possible.

Throughout the whole year, rackets are being strung at Tennis Only, but spring is by far our busiest season. Over the coming period, we will prepare you for that. Once you have got the hang of it, you can focus on building up your speed. Eventually, you will also welcome customers for our "ready while you wait" service, where we string their racket within a 30-minute appointment.

Along the way, you will learn more and more about strings, tension, rackets, grips and accessories. The more you know, the more often and the better you will be able to help customers with personal advice over time.
